Providing Access to Media Coverage of Issues of High Social Relevance
NFS India (News from Fields and Slums) has been helping subscribers for nearly 30 years to keep track of press coverage of issues of special interest to them.
Coverage of almost all issues of high social relevance in leading newspapers, magazines and journals is provided by NFS-India. Subscription rates are decided on the basis of the number and range of issues to be covered.
The coverage is provided in the form of a monthly packet of photocopies of published news items, reports and articles on the subject required to be covered.
This coverage is provided for about 14 newspapers and 20 magazines and journals - about 34 publications in all (see list given below ).
This coverage is available in two languages English and Hindi. Subscribers can choose one or both languages.
Apart from current coverage, we can also go back several months for the coverage of any issue when needed.
NFS India is brought out by Bharat Dogra, a journalist with nearly four decades of experience in writing for leading newspapers and journals on issues of high social relevance, with the help of a team. Details about his articles and books in English and Hindi can be seen at http://www.bharatdogra.in.
NFS-India also releases its own original articles and reports.
A companion effort Social Change Papers brings out books and booklets on issues of high social relevance, with nearly 400 titles published so far. Community library sets in Hindi are also prepared.
More detailed information on all these efforts can be sent on request.
